Cooper's Hawk Winery & Restaurant
Cooper’s Hawk has many locations all over however my favorite is in the South Barrington Arboretum. One of the reasons Cooper’s Hawk has become one of my family’s favorites, besides the amazing wine and food, is because of the Wine Club! There are many different memberships and each have really amazing benefits! One of my family’s favorite traditions is getting together with my Aunt and Uncle once a month to do a wine tasting and then enjoy dinner and catch up. It’s always a night full of belly laughs and always an Uber home kind of night! I highly recommend starting your dinning experience with a wine tasting or even just stopping in while you’re doing some shopping in the area! You get to try up to 6 wines and there are so many great ones to pick from! During our tasting we also were able to try to December wine of the month which is Barbera Barbera, an America Italian Barbera Blend. Along that we were able to try the January wine of the month, which was the 25th Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards, Collectors Edition, Artist’s Red Blend. Both were exquisite! We have tried so very many wines and dishes on the menu but here are a few of our favorites!! I often switch up what wine I drink depending on mood but another great option is picking from one of the wine flights! I think they are especially fun in the summer on the patio! Photos Included show a few wines I really enjoyed such as their Prosecco and Viognier! We love starting with the Calamari which has a sweet chili-ponzu glaze and served with a sesame-sriracha Aioli, anything I can dip in Sriracha has me quite the happy girl! Another favorite starter of my family’s is the Caprese Flatbread, but be sure to know the pesto does contain nuts! When it comes to entrées, there are a ton to pick from! However, you can never go wrong with the Trio of Medallions! It includes Horseradish, Bleu Cheese, and Parmesan-Crusted Filet Medallions, the Mary’s Potatoes which are similar to mashed potatoes and Asparagus! The picture included shows the special that was going on when we visited last that included two medallions and a lobster dish! My family absolutely melted over it! This is definite
