Lakeview Baseball Club
The prices weren't bad and for all you can eat and drink?! We were sold. We arrived about an hour before the game started and head right to the bar. Abby the bartender was so awesome and I was very impressed with the options. They even had a virtue cider which is a great gluten free option. Then we grabbed some food and once again I was so impressed by the options. I had never had a plant based burger and it was pretty great! They also had fruit cups, fries, pretzel bites and my absolute favorite, the chicken tacos. They were seriously so delicious and full of flavor served on naan bread with sauteed peppers. The view was a little blocked with one of the fields scoreboards but the rooftop had plenty of seating and even a few tvs so you didn't miss a thing! The owner Eric also stopped by and introduced himself which was so cool and shows how much he cares about the establishment. I would also like to mention Jason and Max at the front door were awesome and made sure we enjoyed ourselves! Overall Lakeview Baseball House is the place to watch a cubs game next time you’re in the area!

Sweetwater Tavern and Grille
Anyone who knows me knows I am a planner. I always like to find places ahead of time to check out for date night, drinks with the girls, everything. However a spontaneous date night starting with drinks on the river with my guy landed us right on the cozy patio of Sweetwater Tavern + Grille.Although there was no special occasion we definitely acted like there was. We started with a bottle of champagne that delicious and followed with some pretty amazing food. I had the New York Strip served with broccolini, marinated grape tomatoes, fingerling potatoes and chimichurri and it was so full of flavor. Keaton decided to mix things up a bit and ordered the Bang Bang Shrimp appetizer as tacos and oh my gosh they were out of this world delicious. The patio is perfect for people watching and although it's a bit dark we found that the street lights made for a great vibe.

BROKEN OAR MARINA-BAR & GRILL
It’s always fun to find new suburb hidden gem and let me tell you, Broken Oar is one of them!Although summer is on it’s way out any nice day would be great to head over! A ton of outdoor seating right along the water, great tropical drinks and yummy food! My favorite had to be the swing chairs at the outer bar but the live music was also a great touch! They also have luaus on certain Wednesdays!

Doc B's Restaurant + Bar (Gold Coast)
I’m all about the happy hours and Doc B’s has a great one! We ordered the not so mini Mini Margherita pizza, the oven baked chicken wings, French fries and a few glasses of the Vinum White Elephant Blend. Everything was wonderful and our server Alexis was too! Great little patio for a nice day as well!

Hideaway Brew Garden
We then ordered a half dozen of New Zealand Oysters that were presented to us so elegantly by Fallon with a hard cider mignonette. They were so full of flavor we even ordered another six right after. I also was feeling the need for something salty, so I ordered the French fries with a garlic aioli. I am surprisingly picky with something as simple as French fries, but they were great!

Cerise Rooftop
Cerise is located on the rooftop of The Virgin Hotel in Chicago. It has been on my list of rooftops to hit for quite some time yet, but it was not until this past weekend I finally was able to stop by with a dear friend of mine. When we arrived at Cerise it was only 1 and a bit quiet but that allowed us to pick whatever seating we want, admire the gorgeous city views and maybe snap a photo or two. I ordered a Pau Hana which is belvedere vodka, hibiscus, blood orange and chandon sparkling and Emily ordered a Rose’ sangria with grapefruit, thyme and strawberry. Both were seriously incredible. I was very impressed with the bartender. We had a great time catching up and were lucky enough to still be there when a DJ showed up. He was great and really added to the awesome atmosphere. The whole establishment has some really great vibes. Also want to mention an adorable diner was also at the entrance of The Virgin Hotel called miss Ricky’s and looked awesome. Emily and I will definitely be checking it out soon!

The Hampton Social
I ordered the rose of the day, Dani ordered the Vander Mill Cider, and Franny the Gatsby G&T. The place is also perfect for all the photo opps you could ask for. ADD ON: Also since writing this I came again with my family and I wanted to mention a few other things! Lily our server was so wonderful and helped us pick out some great drinks and awesome food menu items. I tried the frose’, my mom had the bee’s knees, and my dad ordered the “Where there’s fire, there's smoke.” We tried their pasta dish, oysters, shrimp tacos and the steak skewers. Everything was seriously out of this world. I couldn't believe how much flavor was in everything.

Maison Marcel
I was enjoying my day off, hitting some of my favorite little stores in Lincoln Park when deciding to take a short cut landed me here. Hidden in an alley, the most beautiful gem!! I am familiar with the Maison Marcel in Lakeview but finding their window location just completed a perfect day. I had a cappuccino and a turkey baguette sandwich to enjoy while I read, and it was bliss. The music playing gave the best vibe to with the incredible paintings along the wall by the wonderful @surfaceofbeauty Although the warm weather is fading, next nice day get over to Maison Marcel in LP.

Point & Feather
I need to start by saying I have now been to Point and Feather 3 times and every time I have been enjoying myself too much to take pictures of the establishment and the food is so good that it is not until its just about gone that I remember I never took a picture. If that doesn’t tell you how great this place is then I don’t know what does. This place is great for everything from happy hour with coworkers, date night, drinks with friends, and family night out. The dart areas are great and easy to reserve, the staff is very friendly, the drinks are great and the food OH MY GOODNESS. I have had many things off the menu but as of this last time the Dry Rub Chicken wings and the steak kabobs have taken over. I think they may actually be in top 5 favorite dishes in the city. This establishment has awesome décor, great vibes and a killer location. Can’t go wrong with Point and Feather when looking for your next hangout in Chicago.

ZED451
One of the best happy hours I have been to in Chicago has to be Zedd 451. My cousin and I have always wanted to try it and when we finally did we couldn’t believe what we had been missing. There were happy hour drinks but the cocktails were such great prices normally that we went with the Sangria which was amazing. We then shared the French fries and steak skewers and were blown away that for such a cheap price the portions were great and they were so delicious. Our server Nina was such a sweetheart, so we decided to stay and get cozy. We shared the margarita caprese flatbread and more Sangria. The rooftop was great vibes and inside is very intimate we can’t wait to come back with our guys🥂

Cooper's Hawk Winery & Restaurant
Cooper’s Hawk has many locations all over however my favorite is in the South Barrington Arboretum. One of the reasons Cooper’s Hawk has become one of my family’s favorites, besides the amazing wine and food, is because of the Wine Club! There are many different memberships and each have really amazing benefits! One of my family’s favorite traditions is getting together with my Aunt and Uncle once a month to do a wine tasting and then enjoy dinner and catch up. It’s always a night full of belly laughs and always an Uber home kind of night! I highly recommend starting your dinning experience with a wine tasting or even just stopping in while you’re doing some shopping in the area! You get to try up to 6 wines and there are so many great ones to pick from! During our tasting we also were able to try to December wine of the month which is Barbera Barbera, an America Italian Barbera Blend. Along that we were able to try the January wine of the month, which was the 25th Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards, Collectors Edition, Artist’s Red Blend. Both were exquisite! We have tried so very many wines and dishes on the menu but here are a few of our favorites!! I often switch up what wine I drink depending on mood but another great option is picking from one of the wine flights! I think they are especially fun in the summer on the patio! Photos Included show a few wines I really enjoyed such as their Prosecco and Viognier! We love starting with the Calamari which has a sweet chili-ponzu glaze and served with a sesame-sriracha Aioli, anything I can dip in Sriracha has me quite the happy girl! Another favorite starter of my family’s is the Caprese Flatbread, but be sure to know the pesto does contain nuts! When it comes to entrées, there are a ton to pick from! However, you can never go wrong with the Trio of Medallions! It includes Horseradish, Bleu Cheese, and Parmesan-Crusted Filet Medallions, the Mary’s Potatoes which are similar to mashed potatoes and Asparagus! The picture included shows the special that was going on when we visited last that included two medallions and a lobster dish! My family absolutely melted over it! This is definite

Hub 51
My family has always been big fans of Lettuce Entertain You restaurants so when deciding where to get lunch this past weekend we decided to give Hub 51 a chance and we’re very pleased with our experience! Our server Bethany was wonderful and very attentive. We didn’t know brunch continues until 3 o’clock so when we arrived around 2:15 wanting lunch she went back and got permission for us to order off the lunch menu, which right away was great! For drinks I had the award winning Hub Punch that included my all-time favorite, Casamigos Blanco Tequila, my mom had the Passion Fruit margarita that is made with jalapeño infused tequila, and Carla had a mimosa. All of our drinks were so tasty and refreshing! My mom and I shared the French Dip and although it is not something I normally would have ordered it was absolutely delicious. My Friend Carla had the beach club salad and my dad the chicken enchilada stack. Our group also shared the spicy shrimp and Crab and California rolls, along with the chips and guacamole! The salsa that came with the guacamole was very unique and had very flavorful spices in it! Everything we ordered was absolutely wonderful! To celebrate my late birthday they also brought me a slice of the carrot cake and holy cow, I think it was the best carrot cake I have ever had! So creamy and rich!! We can’t wait to get back to Hub 51 to try more of their incredible food and drinks! Definitely worth checking out in the River North Area!

Fado Irish Pub
Our favorite Sunday tradition when we wake up in the city is going to Fadó for breakfast. Sometimes it’s quite quiet but if you’re there during a game you will be lucky enough to hear the uproar of chants for the futbol home team. The pub has two floors, the main is always open and there’s seating upstairs but upstairs is best when live bands are playing or a rugby game is on! They have a few flavors of mimosas that are all very enjoyable and usually what I stick to when I’m not drinking water to recover from the night before. My parents really enjoy the Fadó Irish Coffee. It is Tullamore D.E.W Irish Whiskey and brown sugar in hot coffee, topped with cream and cinnamon swirls. It’s pretty awesome to watch as they make the drink and design the cinnamon swirls on top. We also tried Magners Irish Cider and this will definitely be my new go to cider! When it comes to breakfast I tend to stick to the basics so my favorite is the American Breakfast. Best part of the meal is the Irish sausage though, and definitely a must have when visiting. My dad went with the Irish Breakfast and went crazy over it. It’s full of different meats that all are bursting with flavors that he describes as “mouth watering.” My mom chose the egg white omelet that was filled with spinach and feta cheese with a side of potatoes and she really loved it!! Mick served us when we sat at the bar and Erica has been our server before at the tables. Mikey taught us about Magners and Blumers cider, very interesting story! Steve one of the managers even took time to come talk to us and give us some advice as well about drinks to try and what not. Every experience we have had here has been wonderful. Comment your favorite Irish Pub In Chicago!

Raised, an Urban Rooftop Bar
Anyone who knows me knows I am obsessed with rooftop bars, but who isn’t?! Raised is located within the Renaissance Hotel on Wacker Drive. It has a very innovative indoor and outdoor space that overlooks the Chicago River. They have a very unique and delightful drink menu along with very appetizing bites to choose from! A few favorites of mine are the truffle fries, which may in fact be my favorite fries anywhere, and edamame that is the size of a full meal. I have also had the pleasure of trying the “Water Flowers” which is very refreshing and has orchid and cucumber infused vodka in it, the Old Fashioned was a little sweeter than what I am used to but very enjoyable. I have tried many other cocktails along with some of their larger format drinks that are fantastic for a summer day out with friends. The staff has always been very welcoming and all the unique seating throughout the venue makes for a wonderful and cozy time! A favorite of mine are the couches near fire pits!

ERIS Brewery and Cider House
Eris Chicago. As many know, I unfortunately am allergic to beer..... total bummer I know. However, I am quite the fan of ciders and always on the look out for a new cider to try or cidery to explore! I was lucky enough to visit Eris Chicago this summer and I loved it! ERIS was inspired by the eponymous Greek goddess notorious for causing mayhem. As the story goes, Eris threw the golden apple of discord into a party that she wasn’t invited to, thus creating a chaotic scene as every goddess in attendance scrambled for its beauty. Eris says they make their impression in the city of over 100 breweries by throwing an apple into the party as well, by making hard cider! During my visit I ate, no surprise to anyone, the burger and fries! A 8oz blend of Angus chuck, brisket & short rib with sharp cheddar, bacon jam, greens, tomato, pickles, brioche bun. It was delicious! I also drank the VAN VAN MOJO which was a Blueberry cider hopped with Mosaic. (6.1% ABV) and the Blush which was a dark sweet and tart cherry blend. (6.1% ABV) My entire experience was wonderful and I can’t wait to get back and try more of the ciders! Cheers!

Beatnik On The River
Beatnik On The River As it has been getting colder I have been reminiscing on the beautiful summer days in Chicago. One of my favorite days this summer was when my old roomate Nora and I headed over to Beatnik on the River. We started our morning inside with the green smoothies. I’m not the biggest fan of green veggies but this smoothie was unbelievable! Then we each had a glass or four of the Prosecco, it may have been about 11 am on a Wednesday but let’s face it, it’s never too early for some Prosecco. Then I ate the burger and potatoes and Nora had a salad, shocker! Everything was absolutely wonderful. This place is so picturesque and being right on the water made for such a wonderful lunch! It’s not very loud so you can have great conversations with great friends. I highly recommend hitting Beatnik this next summer! Cheers!!🥂

Sawada Coffee
Sawada Matcha My favorite coffee houses are those I find unexpectedly. I was looking for a place to get some work done and found myself in Sawada Matcha with a delicious cappuccino. The place is quite small but very comfortable. There are a few spring chairs at the window to sit at or cozy chairs to melt into while catching up with a friend and sipping on a delicious drink. They also have mini pastry’s and donuts to enjoy with your coffee. Definitely worth stopping by next time you’re near the corner of Kinzie and Franklin! *

Oakwood Beach
Not necessarily a bar or restaurant but one of my favorite events of summer is MAMBY ON THE BEACH! It’s still a rather small festival but the good vibes are always in abundance! Mamby is where I first fell in love with my favorite spiked beverage @drinkmonaco as well so shout out to them! The place is full of great food vendors, bars, and best of all you get to enjoy a ton of great artists while on the beach! Can’t get much better then that! Tickets are very affordable the earlier you buy them! Year two with the Mamby fam was fantastic and I can’t wait for next year! 🍕

IO Godfrey Rooftop Lounge
Warm or cold IO Godfrey Rooftop is the place to be. Although the rooftop has an indoor and a patio area we always prefer the patio! During the summer the rooftop has many cabanas, regular tables, hammocks and more to lounge on. There are three bars and the drinks are sweet and refreshing for a summer day! The summer is wonderful, however my favorite tradition occurs in the winter months! The patio is transformed into a winter wonderland with igloos to rent! We started this tradition last year when we purchased the smaller igloo for the evening and a bottle of Tito’s. This year our family party chose the larger one with a bottle of patron silver and Makers Mark. We ordered the chicken kabobs, the mini burgers, and the truffle fries, all were delightful. Next our amazing server and management set us up outside the igloo at one of the fire pits with a s’mores kit! It was truly a perfect night and our group had so much fun!! Although this isn’t the cheapest of nights out, you won’t find a better place to celebrate the holidays and a special occasion than the igloos at IO Godfrey Igloo! *

Rockit Bar & Grill
Although I have experienced Rockit’s Party Lounge in the past, last weekend I had the opportunity to see what the Bar and Grill had to offer and was very pleased with my experience. I stared with the D.Piddy Rocktini which was made with my absolute favorite, Casamigs Blanco. It was so refreshing but enjoyed being able to still taste the tequila. I was with my cousin Carley so naturally our next drink was a large format drink. We went with the Grapefruit Paloma, also made with Casamigos, that was a served in a 30oz Skull Mug. It was delicious with a perfect kick! The gentlemen each enjoyed a Old-fashioned with Markers Mark and thoroughly enjoyed them as well. We then enjoyed an order of the Macho Nachos with chicken added and Rockit Pockits. They were very unusual but so flavorful! They were crispy wonton wraps filled with steak, cheese and onions and served with a dipping sauce that was out of this world. Not something I normally would have ordered but very glad we did! The staff was also very attentive and friendly. The venue has as you can assume, a rock and roll theme. The menus are old album covers and the décor sets a great mood! Rockit bar and grill is a great place to get your night started! We really enjoyed our visit and are looking forward to returning soon! Check it out next time you are in the River North Area!

iPic Theaters
Warning, once you visit IPIC you won’t ever want to go to a regular movie theatre again. IPIC is not only a movie theatre but they also have a wonderful and unique food and drink menu along with cozy fire places and couches to cuddle up on or shoot pool with some friends. The atmosphere is darker and more intimate but still lively which is perfect for any date night. When seeing a show at IPIC you have the choice of two kinds of seats. The first being premium and the second being premium plus. Tickets start at 16.00 but personally I enjoy the premium plus because not only do you have a full reclining and very cozy chair but a blanket and pillow, and you also receive free popcorn along with a personal server the entire show to order off the full menu! My family and I have come to IPIC far too often but I can tell you our favorites from the menu thus far! I tend to change up my drink order but last night I enjoyed a glass of the Le Saint Andre Rosè and my mom had a glass of their Cabernet. My favorite dish is their Margherita Pizza, made with buffalo mozzarella, marinara sauce, micro basil, and I always have to add homemade Italian sausage because it is just too good to miss. My parents absolutely go crazy over the Buffalo Chicken Spring Rolls, which are made with roasted chicken, buffalo sauce, crumbled blue cheese, and wrapped in a crispy wonton with blue cheese dipping sauce, celery + carrot sticks! We occasionally get the Angus burger sliders that also comes with a very flavorful special sauce. Although not pictured, our MUST HAVE is the tatter tott’s! I know that sounds so basic but we refuse to visit IPIC for a show and not order the tott’s inside! Jake was our server and he was so on top of everything and the manager Luke was wonderful as well! Having a great staff always makes the experience for guests so much more enjoyable! If IPIC is somewhere you come often I recommend joining the rewards program for discounted seating and special promotions!

Old Grounds Social
To start our Saturday off on a high note, before the Hawkeye W of course, we decided to hit Old Grounds Social up for their brunch. Right away I have to just say this place has a great atmosphere! They have patio/outdoor like area (covered during colder seasons) that has giant Jenga, pool, and other games available. It has great swing chairs for that perfect Instagram picture you have been looking for and super fun unique decor. They also had a puppy party going on that allowed anyone to bring their dogs, which made me naturally need to ask to pet every dog I saw... The food was great but what I enjoyed more was the bottomless mimosas. $20 gets you 90 minutes of all you can drink mimosas! Old Grounds Social has a ton of great deals throughout the whole week that are hands down worth checking out! Our group had a great experience and I am looking forward to return again soon!

Federales
RING MY BELLLLLLLL, RING MY BELL 🔔 Federales is one of my go to places and an absolute must when you are in the West Loop or Chicago at all. Their house margaritas are everything you want in a perfect marg, and their guacamole is to die for! The best and my favorite thing to do though is ring the tequila bell! The best choice in my professional tequila drinking opinion is Federales private barrel tequila! It’s so very smooth and just fills ya with that fire to whip your ice shot glass right at the bell. The place has a real unique style with a perfect patio for your day drinking needs! In the winter the patio is rented which is wonderful and allows you to keep hittin’ that bell! Always have had amazing experiences with the food, drinks and staff. Definitely a top spot to check out!

City Winery at the Chicago Riverwalk
This was not my first time at City Winery, but it is always such a perfect spot to hit on a beautiful day. The seating is plentiful, the view being right on the river is the great and best of all, DOG FRIENDLY! I know Maya is looking a little rough but trust me she was loving every minute of this! My mom and I ordered the Lakeshore Sunrise which was Ketel One vodka, mandarin juice, and their house made orange rosemary syrup and my dad the Perfect Manhattan which was Bulleit Rye whiskey, Cnia Mata sweet Spanish vermouth & Cnia Mata dry vermouth with Angostura bitters. All were so delicious. We also ordered their Artisanal Cheese board, a rotating selection of artisanal cheeses with accoutrements and fresh baguette. Our server was wonderful too, when they heard I was gluten free she brought us out gluten free crackers right away.

Holt's
Although I had been to Holt’s once before I was dying to try it again. One of the many things Holt’s is known for is their drink menu. They have done Stranger Things, Game of Thrones and so many other fan favorites. We happened to show up to our family’s wedding about 45 minutes too early and when I realized we were right around the corner from Holt’s I grabbed the gang and brought them over. Everyone was very pleased with this power move. The awesome décor, great patio, friendly staff and unique drink menu are always worth the visit. I ordered the Chief Hopper from Stranger Things, R.I.P, which was their take on an Old Fashioned. They made it with Elijah Craig small batch, and it was perfection. My parents each did an Old Fashioned as well with the bourbon of their liking. Keaton went with House Stark, naturally, which was a prickly pear Moscow Mule which he said was very refreshing. We all loved sitting with Lauren who was killer bartender and absolute sweetheart.

2Toots Train Whistle Grill
The food is not the focus of this establishment, it is how it is delivered to you that keeps us coming back. Upon placing your order with the server you will watch your food be delivered on a choo choo train that travels throughout the restaurant right to your table! The food is good, pretty basic but the look on the little ones faces is worth the trip over! Prices are affordable, but there is a Groupon right now for those interested! If you live in the area and are looking for a good activity for the little ones on a rainy day I definitely would say try checking out Two Toots!

Rizzo's Bar & Inn
Rizzo's Bar and Inn Wrigleville Chicago, IL I recently had the wonderful experience of checking out Rizzo's in Wrigleyville! We were in the area looking for a new spot to check out on a sunny but chilly Friday afternoon when the enclosed patio drew us in. We then noticed the cocktail menu had large format drinks for really great prices ! We went with one that was made with Bullet Bourbon and absolutely delicious! We figured the drink decided for us that we would be staying awhile so we ordered food as well. We ordered the chicken tenders and fries and the spinach and artichoke dip. All were very enjoyable! The atmosphere was really great and the seating included everything from booths in the restaurant area to your choice of high-tops, picnic tables, or a cubby on the patio. We really had a wonderful time and are looking forward for returning for one of the trivia nights at the end of the month! We came at perfect timing because as soon as the game ended the place really filled up. Our server was a very sweet girl, I would say the only complaint was after waiting 30 minutes and asking twice our extra side of ranch never came, obviously not the end of the world, but ya girls like their ranch. Definitely worth checking out!

Personally I would say my steak was the best steak I have ever had. The prices are high but great for a special occasion or the happy hour is a fantastic way to enjoy the great food and way more affordable prices!

Fun place in River North if you’re looking for good vibes but a less busy scene! Great bartenders!

Flight Club
This place is way cool and officially a new favorite of mine. The servers are great and so attentive. I believe it was 20 or 40 dollars for a board with up to 20 people in the area? Definitely make a reservation but you’ll be set for a wonderful time!

Dick's Last Resort - Chicago
This is a major hit or miss place. Be prepared staff here will make rude comments and fun of you, all which is meant to be fun and games but a few occasionally take it to far. They write dirty/inappropriate comments on paper hats for you to wear while eating. If you get lucky you get a great server who is fun and makes the right kind of funny/crude jokes or you get unlucky like my groups last visit and have someone who actually is incredibly rude, takes jokes too far, and actually have awful service.

Miller's Ale House - Schaumburg
Our drinks weren’t great, the buffalo zingers and fries were delicious though! The place is pretty basic but they do have a great little patio and servers were very friendly!

Ciao! Cafe & Wine Lounge
This place is wonderful! Ciao! is a cozy cafe & wine lounge that features Italian tapas, an array of global wines and live music! The owner Julie is a ray of sunshine with a huge heart. I tried a ton of the food and everything was to die for, quality quality Italian and service! Small, cozy and perfect for a date night ❤️

The Saddle Room
Saddle room is my favorite happy hour spot in the suburbs! They have a fantastic menu and very kind staff. I love many of their wines and cocktails but my favorite is the happy hour mini burgers! The Saddle room has off track betting and a beautiful patio as well. They have a fire pit inside and outside as well. This is a great spot for any occasion! ❤️

Federales
All I need to say is eat the quac, drink the margaritas and ring the bell!! Federales is famous for serving shots in an ice shot glass that you throw at a large bell afterward. Must hit spot in West Loop!
