On Saturday, January 28th, Commonhouse Aleworks will celebrate its 5th Anniversary with a Block Party and Celebration at the brewery’s location in the Park Circle neighborhood of North Charleston. The event is free to attend and open to all. The event will feature a schedule of entertainment and activities: DAYTIME CELEBRATION 12 pm to 6 pm Hosted By Comedian Shawna Jarrett Live Music with Savannah, GA’s Slim & The Gems, Charleston’s The V-Tones, and the Yum Yum Jug Band A Mechanical Rodeo Shark: Ride the rodeo shark and see how long you can stay on Fire Performers featuring fire vignettes including fire fan, fire baton, fire hoop and fire swallowing “Paint The Classic Car” – paint the 1963 Ford Fairlane with the washable paint car setup for kids and adults alike Break-Dancers: Kyle “K’otic” Johnson Show with other break-dancers Face Painting Contests Vendors Market NIGHTTIME CELEBRATION 6 pm to 10 pm Anniversary Drag Show Hosted by Symone N. O’Bishop, title winner of the Miss Royal Pride of Nations National Newcomer (2022-2023) along with a stellar lineup of other drag talent including Sapphire Dupree, Ebony Wood, Shesha Manson & DJ Crystal Guysir The celebration is also a benefit for Park Circle Cares, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization created to assist people of the Charleston and Lowcountry areas who struggle with food insecurity. Bowens Island Road
We are excited to be offering an OBX Tour, centered around the filming location and sights from the popular Netflix show- Outer Banks. This 1.5 hour boat tour will show filming locations like John B’s house, the Morris Island Lighthouse, Folly’s boneyard beach, and Block Island Creek- the location of the sunken Grady White. You will also recognize scenes from seasons 2 and 3 at our departure site on Bowens Island. In addition to seeing recognizable locations from your favorite show, your captain will share information about filming and the show. The Outer Banks Boat Tour will also include the chance to view wild bottlenose dolphins- surely making it the highlight of your trip.
