🚧 NO NEW CONSTRUCTION: Folly Beach’s City Council passed a 90 day moratorium on new construction while city leaders work through new zoning laws for downtown. They are considering an amendment where rooftop bars would be included as a story to a building and no buildings are allowed to be taller than 3 stories. Rooftop bars already above the 3rd story would be allowed to continue service. They are also proposing all new buildings will have to designate the first floor as commercial space.
