NEW RESTAURANTS: Restaurateur Martin Sprock, who owns half a dozen restaurant brands, has purchased 155 East Bay St. and 2 Unity Alley, the former homes of McCrady’s, McCrady’s Tavern, and Minero. Sprock says he plans to revive two Atlanta brands into a new Charleston restaurant concept.
Sprock is opening Clarence Foster’s Cookery & Saloon, an iconic Peachtree restaurant that will mark its 50th anniversary next year. Clarence Foster’s will occupy the former McCrady’s restaurant with the same entrance on Unity Alley.
For the upstairs space – known as the Long Room – Sprock is bringing back another Atlanta icon, the Chameleon Club. A bar and music venue, it hosted the likes of Hootie & the Blowfish and The Black Crowes. For this iteration, Sprock says he is aiming for something a little more laid back with a fun lounge vibe. The space where George Washington once dined will welcome guets for cocktails, bites, and music. Plans are to open both Clarence Foster’s and the Chameleon Club in early 2022.
Reverend Horton Heat is the stage name of James C. Heath and the name of his psychobilly trio from Dallas, Texas. Heath is a guitarist and singer-songwriter. Heath was dubbed the "godfather of contemporary rockabilly and psychobilly" by a Prick magazine reviewer.
Todd Rundgren - As a solo artist and member of the band Utopia, Todd Rundgren is an American multi-instrumentalist, singer-songwriter, and record producer who has performed a wide range of styles. He is recognized for his complex and often unconventional music, extravagant stage presence, and subsequent interactive entertainment projects.
JD Simo is a former member of the rock band SIMO and an American guitarist, singer-songwriter, producer, and solo musician. Simo has collaborated with artists such as Jack White, Phil Lesh, Luther Dickinson, Cowboy Jack Clement, Dave Cobb, and Chris Isaak as a guitarist, composer, and producer/engineer.

Jim Jefferies - The Australian-American stand-up comedian, Jim Jefferies, has created, written, and starred in the FX sitcom, “Legit,” and the Comedy Central late night show, “The Jim Jefferies Show.” He also appeared in movies including, “Punching Henry.”
