Lima
Lima has it all. Gorgeous beaches and desert cliffs line the coast. It is the center of Peru's music culture, from cumbia to huayno. Lima has one of the most up-and-coming food scenes in the world with Michelin Star restaurants, holes-in-the-wall, and street-side stalls. Its has a rich colonial history of multiculturalism. From Spanish colonizers, African slaves, native peoples, Japanese and Chinese immigrants, and many other groups from around the globe, Lima has a rich mix of international culture whilst not lacking in a local culture that is unique to each individual contributing one. This city is unique amongst not only Latin America but cities all over the globe. Lima is vibrant, lush, and evolving and continues to dance to the beat of mototaxis, ceviche, and Eva Ayllon.
