It was quite unfortunate that it wasn’t until our very last morning in Dublin that we stubbled upon Slattery’s because it couldn’t have been the more perfect place to start the day. Our favorite way to start the day is with a great Irish breakfast and an Irish coffee but to our dismay many places that serve breakfast don’t serve Irish coffees until 11 and many pubs that open early and sell Irish coffee does not have a kitchen that opens up early enough for us, yet Slattery’s was open very early and had it all! Mark was our server and possibly one of the managers or at least seemed like it with how personable and attentive as he was. We all enjoyed our breakfast so very much and as I said, these were the best Irish coffees we had the entire trip. I also ordered a breakfast tea that was wonderful. Slattery’s does have a full bar and great food menu. It is two floors and when you think of what a perfect Irish pub would look like you are picturing Slattery’s. Only plus side of not finding it until the last day is that we wouldn’t have tried any other places because we would have spent every morning here!
