For a breathtaking view over the city centre of Munich, thousands of tourists climb Old Peter every day - the tower of St. Peter's Church behind Marienplatz. For the view, the 300 steps are definitely worth it. With good weather you can see from here up to the Alps. Especially during rush hours there is always an unbelievable bustle on the tower and if you want to take a great photo, you have to fight hard for your place. If you'd rather relax a bit and enjoy a great view, I recommend the café in the Vorhoelzer Forum on the roof of the TU Munich. There you can not only see the whole of Munich - from the Frauenkirche to the Olympiaturm to the Alps - there is also delicious food and a great brunch on weekends.
