Exploring Angkor Wat: If you have time, take three days to explore Angkor Wat, it is huge! Hire a tuk-tuk for the day and they will take you to temples and wait for you to walk around, and don’t forget to stay hydrated and cover your shoulders and knees.

get a tuk tuk driver from the street to drive you around all day to see all the different temples. Actual price to entire the site is around 40 dollars and the tuk tuk driver for the day will cost about $12 (great if you split with friends!). Make sure you wear clothes that cover your legs and shoulders. At night go to the walking street lots of bars and pubs and restaruants

Siem Reap is one of the most unique places in the world. Home to the largest religious monument in the world, Angkor Wat, go check out the incredible fuze of Hinduism and Buddhism from history dating way way back. See the current day influence of one of the world's largest (and least known) genocides- the Khmer Rouge- and appreciate this small Cambodian oasis.

I had to mention Siem Reap because I loved exploring the Angkor temples. It's a pretty touristy thing to do but I would recommend visiting some of the less travelled temples as well.

It's like travelling back in time, every temple is unique, but you can't miss the sunrise at Angkor Wat. You'll be astonished by the vastness of this temple.

Seeing the Angkor Wat in real life was a dream realized. I may have experienced temple fatigue while exploring the temple complex, but the exhaustion was worth it. If you want to maximize your visit of the temples, buy the Angkor Archaeological Pass that fits your duration of stay. If you’re only staying in Siem Reap for 4 days, you can get the 3-day pass for only $62.

Of course the highlight is the ancient temple Angkor Watt, but Siem Riep is also a perfect place to relax with its small strip and plenty of hotels with pools.
