KNOW THIS: September (especially today!) might be THE BEST time to hit up the beach in Charleston. Blue sky, tons of parking, and small crowds…this also helps you to see when the beach police are out looking for 🍻 😂.

BEACH BUY! Obviously beach season is already here. Whenever I’m down at SI, people are always asking about our beach tent. The wind here can be a problem and this tent is by far the best solution I have found for Charleston. Made by Cool Cabana. Check them out!

This is my happy place. Beautiful view of the great Atlantic. If you’re lucky you might see a few kitesurfers shredding as Sullivan’s is the premier spots for kites on the east coast. Sunshine and good times 🌞

TODAY’S BEACH TIP: definitely don’t rely on today’s weather forecast. Why? High-pressure offshore essentially means that Charleston should expect more humidity, warm temperatures, and a complete coin flip as to whether showers and storms affect the low country at any given time today.

BAD DAY FOR: Swimming. Biting hook-jawed marine worms 🪱 have been spotted along the SC coast. While they typically live on the ocean floor, they rise during their reproductive forms under spring new and full moons!
