Thailand is the land of smiles and it’s true. There are beautiful islands, beaches, temples, culture, food, and great parties on top. It has everything and is inexpensive.

The perfect place for first time travellers! Cheap accomodation, food and activites. A great mix between beaches in the South and lush nature in the North.

for exploration, nature and entertainment. Thailand is the best place to know a Buddhist culture, live with animals in nature and for its famous place to party with the ‘’full moon party ‘’

Green curry — The curry in Thailand is amazing, full of creamy coconut milk, spicy chilis, local herbs, and aromatic seasonings

For any backpacker out there - Island Hopping in Thailand might be the best thing you will ever do. So many wonderful islands to see and so many fantastic people from all over the world doing the same thing. But you can still find islands where you are almost alone. One of the best adventures of our lives.

Where else can you get a plate of sweet, sour, and scrumptious pad thai for just a few bucks? This is a country for people who love to eat.

Pad Thai: A delicious noodle dish packed with tons of flavor that you can get for a couple of dollars at any street vendor.

I experienced both the city madness and some of the islands. The islands were beautiful, especially the boat trip around Koh Phi Phi. It is VERY touristy though! I would love to go back and explore more of rural areas

You don’t know Thai food unless you’ve eaten at the famous street stalls of Bangkok. Raan Jay Fai is a street stall that holds 1 Michelin Star - she’s famous for her delicious fried crab omelette. Make reservations ahead of time to avoid waiting in line for 2+ hours.

Weather plays a huge factor when staying in Thailand long-term. The monsoon season hits almost like clockwork and everyday downpours quickly put a damper on this tropical paradise. Be sure to visit when you can take advantage of the sunny weather and sandy beaches.

Partying: famous for its monthly full-moon and half-moon parties its no surprise that Thailand is one of the best places to party! Get your neon and grab a bucket or two and prepare yourself for a wild night. Spend the next day on the beach until your hangover wears off or visit a beach club and keep the party going!

Elephants! Need I say more? Visit an elephant sanctuary for an up close experience with these gentle giants. The north of Thailand is lush and hosts many incredible national parks for hiking, rappelling, and swimming in waterfalls, and the south of Thailand is home to arguably some of the world's most beautiful beaches. Thai people are exteremely friendly and accomodating. Tip: Try a Thai boxing match and/or a Thai cooking class

Land of the smiles, which will put a smile on your face with every sunset enjoyed on a fine sand beach. Hard to describe it in just one paragraph because there is so much to see! Phuket is a popular region with some of the best beaches out there, Phi Phi islands are like a small piece of heaven and then there are the Similan islands which will make you feel like you're in the Maldives. Lots of stunning lagoons and cliffs from where to dive in the turqoise waters. Excellent snorkelling opportunities as well. The cost of living is significantly cheaper than in other european resort towns.
