Not going to lie, I travelled here just to eat! There is nothing quite like the Dotonbori - an area near the canal that is lively at night and packed with hungry visitors!

This is the place for hearty winter foods - while munching on your foie gras poutine, you'll forget it's freezing cold outside!

One of the best night markets, very lively atmosphere! The food isn't my favourite but it's great if you're on a budget!

Nui. Hostel & Bar Lounge
This is the best hostel I've stayed at - there is a bar/ café on the ground floor where you can meet other travellers. Close to the metro station and some local restaurants nearby. Very clean place and the décor is nice as well.

Montserrat
Breathtaking views. I was so glad I made the trip here - there are several trails you can go on to hike to the top of the mountain or some lookout points. An easy trail is the St. Michael's Cross - 1 hour roundtrip but amazing view of the monastery and the mountains behind it.

Giotto's Bell Tower
You'll have to climb the bell tower but the views are worth it! I don't recommend this if you are unfit or uncomfortable in cramped spaces though.

The Signature Room at the 95th®
If you want a great view of Chicago, check out the Signature Lounge in the John Hancock building! The view is amazing (if you're female, the women's washroom has a great view too) and it is a perfect way to end your day.
