Taqueria Corona

Probably my all time favorite spot for Mexican food. If you want to try the hot sauces you have to ask for them specifically. There's three: jalapeno, red and black. Jalapeno is fine. Red it hot but the black sauce… is something special. It's HOT HOT and has this delicious smoky flavor. Plus it looks dangerous cause you need to mix it up before you put it on your food. It separates into a dark black matter on the bottom and oil on top. My favorite dish to cover in that dangerous black liquid, the tongue tacos! Uptown and Metairie locations. I've only been to the uptown one. Full bar and great margaritas (on the rocks and frozen)!
