Alvin Ailey Dance Theater - The Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater (AAADT) is a New York City-based modern dance group. Alvin Ailey, a choreographer and dancer, created the company in 1958. It is directed by creative director Robert Battle and assistant artistic director Matthew Rushing and consists of 32 dancers.
