Annie is a broadway musical based on the comic strip and the 1885 poem, both named, Little Orphan Annie. Since its original broadway production in 1977, it has won seven Tony Awards including Best Musical and Best Original Score. With popular musical numbers like, "It's the Hard Knock Life," and "Tomorrow," it has spawned numerous productions in many countries.
