Nasi Kandar gets its roots from India and is most popular in Penang. It sounds simple as its just rice served with meat and/or vegetables, then topped with curry. But, you can choose from an amazing array of maybe 20-30 meats and vegetable dishes and if you eat like a local, you will drown the rice with a mixture of different curries.
