Lowcountry Artists Gallery presents a new exhibition of photographs by Nicole Robinson for the month of June in a show entitled “Wave Therapy.” An opening reception will be held at Lowcountry Artists Gallery, 148 East Bay Street, on Friday, June 2, 2023 from 5-8 PM. Admission is free and all are welcome. Light refreshments will be served and the artist will be in attendance. The exhibit showcases Nicole's latest collection of photographs that bring relaxation and happiness by the shore and beyond. Summertime Jazz Series feat. Zandrina: The Summertime Jazz Series at New Realm Brewing Co. on Daniel Island features a 3-course dinner and the best jazz Charleston has to offer. Enjoy an incredible performance, locally crafted, award-winning beer from Brewmasters Mitch Steele and Geoff Belcher, and a locally sourced menu from Chef Andy McLeod. Zandrina Dunning is an accomplished vocalist and producer who performs a range of music, from soul to jazz. She can be seen performing with the Charleston Jazz Orchestra or her own band and has performed at the legendary Ryman Auditorium in Nashville TN, the Lincoln Theater in NYC, and other venues throughout the US and internationally with concerts that include tribute shows to Janet Jackson, Aretha Franklin, Tina Turner, and more. Redux Contemporary Art Center

Intro to Screen-Printing - In this 3-week long course, you will learn the basics of screen printing. You will have either two one-color images or one image with two different colors. We will not be using computers in this class, so no Illustrator or Photoshop. Instead, we will be hand-drawing the transparencies to be burned onto the screen. You will create your image, learn how to prep and burn your screen, and then ink your image.   All materials are provided just bring your ideas. Hope to see you there! ***The first class will be 2 hours and the second and third classes will be 3 hours long.

The Tattooed Moose

This Sunday, Lowcountry Dog Magazine and Hollywood Feed will host a Daiquiris & Dogs Adoption event at Tattooed Moose in Park Circle. The free and family-friendly event will run from 3 pm to 6 pm. Attendees can choose from a variety of flavors of blended frozen daiquiris including Creamsicle, Peach, and Pina Colãda, served by Carolina Daiquiri Company and Hilton Head Distillery. A portion of daiquiri sales will go to the rescues. Guests can also expect live music from The Jeff Caldwell Band, swag bags for your pet from Hollywood Feed, local vendors, and adoptable pups from Libby & Mace’s Place Animal Rescue, Greyhound Pets of America, and Berkeley Animal Center.
