Lowcountry Juneteenth of Charleston will be hosting its first ever outdoor festival during a week-long celebration called Lowcountry Juneteenth Week (LJW) from June 14th to 20th, 2021. The event will highlight black owned businesses with curated events throughout the city including live performances, exhibits, seminars and more. LJW will also focus on economic empowerment by presenting virtual seminars that focus on health and wellness, real estate, financial freedom, legal matters, and entrepreneurship. Redux Contemporary Art Center
Intro to Screen-Printing - In this 3-week long course, you will learn the basics of screen printing. You will have either two one-color images or one image with two different colors. We will not be using computers in this class, so no Illustrator or Photoshop. Instead, we will be hand-drawing the transparencies to be burned onto the screen. You will create your image, learn how to prep and burn your screen, and then ink your image.   All materials are provided just bring your ideas. Hope to see you there! ***The first class will be 2 hours and the second and third classes will be 3 hours long.

The Tattooed Moose
This Sunday, Lowcountry Dog Magazine and Hollywood Feed will host a Daiquiris & Dogs Adoption event at Tattooed Moose in Park Circle. The free and family-friendly event will run from 3 pm to 6 pm. Attendees can choose from a variety of flavors of blended frozen daiquiris including Creamsicle, Peach, and Pina Colãda, served by Carolina Daiquiri Company and Hilton Head Distillery. A portion of daiquiri sales will go to the rescues. Guests can also expect live music from The Jeff Caldwell Band, swag bags for your pet from Hollywood Feed, local vendors, and adoptable pups from Libby & Mace’s Place Animal Rescue, Greyhound Pets of America, and Berkeley Animal Center.
