Lionsgate will host an early screening of a new horror-comedy movie called The Blackening on Tuesday, May 24th at 7 pm at Regal Palmetto Grande in Mt. Pleasant (1319 Theater Dr.). Directed by Tim Story (Ride Along, Think Like A Man, Barbershop), The Blackening centers around a group of Black friends who reunite for a Juneteenth weekend getaway only to find themselves trapped in a remote cabin with a twisted killer. Forced to play by his rules, the friends soon realize they must pit their street smarts and knowledge of horror movies against the murderer to stay alive.
