Beautiful and historical plantations are a must for your first time visiting the South. The Boone Hall Plantation is one of America’s oldest working plantations, continually growing crops for over 320 years – and has been made famous in more recent years for it’s starring roles in movies like The Notebook (yep… it’s THAT house) and Forrest Gump (the Run, Forrest, Run! scene), and was also the site of Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds wedding.
