Young Anakin Skywalker’s slave-quarter home, in the Star Wars Phantom Menace film, is a ksar (originally a grain store) in Medenine, about 35 miles southeast of Matmata in southern Tunisia. The last remaining square of this once-vast complex has been turned into a bustling bazaar at avenue 7 Novembre in the centre of the town.
