Croagh Patrick
A site of pilgrimage in Mayo, it is said to be a holy mountain whose summit Saint Patrick fasted on for 45 days in 441AD. Some people climb the mountain barefoot to be forgiven for sins...I made it about 10 steps before putting my shoes back on. It offers spectacular views but the end of the climb is rather steep so wear proper shoes.
