10 Places to see in Yucatan Peninsula
A cenote is a limestone hole, which was created by the collapse of the cave ceiling and filled with crystal clear fresh water. There are countless cenotes in the Yucatan region, each a bit different. I have attended 2 cenotes with my language school, which are not yet available to the public. The cenotes "X'Kekén and Samula" are close to Chichen Itza and therefore cool down on the way home, but you will not be all alone. Admission to both cenotes is 160 pesos.
