The small colonial town is worth a visit. Especially the area around the park in the middle of the city is worth seeing with its many colorful houses. You get along well with the ADO bus or a rental car in the small town which is close to Chichen Itza. 1 or 2 nights is enough and the overnight stay is recommended in combination with a visit to Chichen Itza.
