Wilsons Promontory National Park
Little Waterloo Bay Overnight Hike: - Pre book and reserve your camping and parking spot for LWB on the National park website for $13.60 per person - Stop in Korumburra and have coffee/ lunch at the borough. Get sangas at the bakery takeaway as well - Park your car in the Tidal River visitors centre carpark - Take the free shuttle bus from the car park to Telegraph Saddle where you start the hike. - Take the shorter route that begins with the downhill service road to telegraph junction and then head east to Little Waterloo Bay. 11.9km and just over 3 hours - Go past the LWB camping site and head straight onto the beach. Definitely camp on the beach even though they say not too, no one else will be there and it is amazing. - No clean water at LWB so bring purification tablets - If you have an extra day do the lighthouse walk to the south point, looked cool - Head back through telegraph junction and then head to the west coast and check out Oberon Bay. Really cool massive beach and the walk back to tidal river is along the coast passing through unreal beaches. You could even camp an extra night in one of these beaches they are that good. 16.8km and around 4 hours back to tidal river.
