Joyce Kilmer Memorial Forest, Cheoah Ranger District, Nantahala National Forest
Awe inspiring is the baseline. Joyce Kilmer is the only old growth forest on the east coast, and trees that only the Pacific coast giants can look down upon... hiking through an untouched forest is an incredible thing to do for a day!
