Murderous Yarns - Knitting/crocheting circle at CCPL's Main Branch. People can drop in the first Wednesday of each month between 11:00 - 12:00 with a craft project (if they have one) while we work, listen to true crime podcasts, and eat cookies.  

Redux Contemporary Art Center

Creative Flow: Yoga in the Gallery - This weekly, donation-based yoga class is held in the main gallery at Redux Contemporary Art Center. Join us for a creative approach to Vinyasa yoga practice surrounded by artwork in our light-filled space. As Redux is committed to cultivating our creative community, this class will always remain donation based. . $15 members/ $20 non-members suggested donation. Felix Cocktails et Cuisine

On the first Tuesday of every month, Parisian-inspired restaurant Félix offers a tasting menu with paired cocktails. The next dinner will take place on Tuesday, June 6th, with seatings from 5:30 pm to 9:30 pm. With five-courses total, each dish is accompanied by a signature Cathead Vodka-inspired cocktail, selected to highlight Félix’s curated menu.  Guests can expect the following libations to accompany their meal: Watermelon Sugar – Honeysuckle Vodka with Watermelon and Basil Shrub, Lemon Juice, Simple Syrup, Soda, and Chilled Watermelon Ice Cubes Milky Chance – Bitter Orange Vodka with Clarified Milk Punch, Citrus, Tea, and Simple Syrup Sweet Caroline – Fat Washed Pecan Vodka, Demerara, Benedictine, and Bitters Not Quite an Espresso Martini – Hoodoo, Cold Brew Infused Hoodoo Chicory Liqueur, Cocchi di Torino Vermouth, Averna, and Bitters Raspberry Beret – Raspberry Vodka with Orange Juice, Lemon Juice, Simple Syrup, Green Chartreuse, and Egg White The cost is $65 for the coursed meal and an additional $85 for drink pairings ($150 total). Jeni's Splendid Ice Creams

Summer is (almost) here and Jeni’s Splendid Ice Creams is throwing a party to celebrate. Called “Hello Summer,” the event will be held nationwide at Jeni’s scoop shops on Monday, June 5th from 7 pm until close. See below for what’s in store. North Charleston Coliseum & Performing Arts Center

The Best of Broadway series will host its annual  “Select Your Seat” open house party on Tuesday, June 6th, from 5 pm to 7 pm. Broadway fans are invited to come out and “select their seats” for the 2023 – 2024 season. The party features live music, complimentary hors d’oeuvres, a wine tasting, giveaways, and backstage tours. The first 100 people through the door will receive a free Mean Girls coffee mug. The party and parking are free. Single show tickets will go on sale at a later date. The national tours of HADESTOWN and SIX will make their Lowcountry premieres part of the 2023 – 2024 Best of Broadway season at the North Charleston Performing Arts Center. HADESTOWN performances are January 2 – 7, 2024 and SIX performances are March 12 – 17, 2024. Each show will offer eight performances. The Best of Broadway series will welcome five additional shows including: COME FROM AWAY (October 20 – 22, 2023); PRETTY WOMAN: THE MUSICAL (December 1 – 3, 2023); MY FAIR LADY (February 9 – 11, 2024); and MEAN GIRLS (April 26 – 28, 2024). In addition, STOMP (May 10 – 11, 2024) returns as a special bonus. All performances are at the North Charleston Performing Arts Center. In addition to having the same seat for all performances, Best of Broadway season ticket holders enjoy many other benefits such as free parking to season shows, priority access to tickets for North Charleston Coliseum & Performing Arts Center events before they go on public sale and special discounts & offers.
