Interlaken
Interlaken was my second favorite trip that I did, it was a BEAUTIFUL little town and the group of girls that I went with just had so much fun hanging out together. We went with Bus2Alps which is a student tour group based out of Italy (Florence actually I think) and they take college abroad students on tours of different places, definitely check out their website. What makes it so inexpensive if youre going from Italy is also that they actually put you on a bus to take you places. It could be pretty miserable being on a bus for hours I would think but you save the plane money. For people from Paris they have fly-in tours so they met us at the airport. Anyways, Interlaken is a big ski area which I think you would probably love to do. They didn’t have any snow when we went so we couldn’t ski which in the end worked out perfectly. It’s a small town in a valley of the alps between two lakes (Inter-LAKE-n, get it?) we went hiking and shopping in the little town but they also have tons of outdoor-extreme sports. I went paragliding and it was SO worth the money. I would do it again in a second if I could!!
Other Interlaken thigns:
Outdoor Interlaken has all you need for skiing, or other adventure activities. They even rent things like gloves (because who thinks to bring that to paris??) I went Paragliding through Outdoor Interlaken and it was AWESOME. They also have skydiving, Canyon climbing etc.
Utopia- restaurant across from Balmers that has great sandwiches, BAGELS, and they have a fun happy hour
Irish Pub next to Balmers- I forget the name but we went there for dinner one night and it was a lot of fun and really good comfort food.
