Felix Cocktails et Cuisine

On the first Tuesday of every month, Parisian-inspired restaurant Félix offers a tasting menu with paired cocktails. The next dinner will take place on Tuesday, June 6th, with seatings from 5:30 pm to 9:30 pm. With five-courses total, each dish is accompanied by a signature Cathead Vodka-inspired cocktail, selected to highlight Félix’s curated menu.  Guests can expect the following libations to accompany their meal: Watermelon Sugar – Honeysuckle Vodka with Watermelon and Basil Shrub, Lemon Juice, Simple Syrup, Soda, and Chilled Watermelon Ice Cubes Milky Chance – Bitter Orange Vodka with Clarified Milk Punch, Citrus, Tea, and Simple Syrup Sweet Caroline – Fat Washed Pecan Vodka, Demerara, Benedictine, and Bitters Not Quite an Espresso Martini – Hoodoo, Cold Brew Infused Hoodoo Chicory Liqueur, Cocchi di Torino Vermouth, Averna, and Bitters Raspberry Beret – Raspberry Vodka with Orange Juice, Lemon Juice, Simple Syrup, Green Chartreuse, and Egg White The cost is $65 for the coursed meal and an additional $85 for drink pairings ($150 total). Lowcountry Artists Gallery

Lowcountry Artists Gallery presents a new exhibition of photographs by Nicole Robinson for the month of June in a show entitled “Wave Therapy.” An opening reception will be held at Lowcountry Artists Gallery, 148 East Bay Street, on Friday, June 2, 2023 from 5-8 PM. Admission is free and all are welcome. Light refreshments will be served and the artist will be in attendance. The exhibit showcases Nicole's latest collection of photographs that bring relaxation and happiness by the shore and beyond. West Ashley Farmers Market - every Wednesday - The WAFM is dedicated to the support and advocacy of local farmers and growers and features fresh seasonal produce, as well as sweet and savory foods from area vendors who source ingredients from nearby farms. The WAFM will build upon the success of the CFM by expanding access to local fresh food, supporting the local economy and local agriculture, providing a civic gathering place and opportunities for community engagement. A curated program of live entertainment, rotating food trucks and family-friendly activities will enhance the farmers’ market experience. Addressing one of the key strategies in the City of Charleston’s 2014 West Ashley Strategic Plan, the WAFM will continue to help create community partnerships and reactivate civic spaces.

Annual Deputy Joe Matuskovic Memorial Hockey Game - On September 8, 2014, Charleston County Sheriff's Deputy Joe Matuskovic was killed in the line of duty. His memory continues to be honored with the 9th Annual Deputy Joe Matuskovic Memorial Hockey Game. The game is scheduled for Friday, June 2, at 7pm at Carolina Ice Palace. The evening will showcase two games involving first responders and the military: The Charleston Enforcers vs. Charleston Fire and Richland Blueliners vs. Myrtle Beach Fire. The game is free to attend, but donations are greatly appreciated. The funds raised will support the families of fallen first responders and those in need of assistance.
