Annual Deputy Joe Matuskovic Memorial Hockey Game - On September 8, 2014, Charleston County Sheriff's Deputy Joe Matuskovic was killed in the line of duty. His memory continues to be honored with the 9th Annual Deputy Joe Matuskovic Memorial Hockey Game. The game is scheduled for Friday, June 2, at 7pm at Carolina Ice Palace. The evening will showcase two games involving first responders and the military: The Charleston Enforcers vs. Charleston Fire and Richland Blueliners vs. Myrtle Beach Fire. The game is free to attend, but donations are greatly appreciated. The funds raised will support the families of fallen first responders and those in need of assistance.

Felix Cocktails et Cuisine

On the first Tuesday of every month, Parisian-inspired restaurant Félix offers a tasting menu with paired cocktails. The next dinner will take place on Tuesday, June 6th, with seatings from 5:30 pm to 9:30 pm. With five-courses total, each dish is accompanied by a signature Cathead Vodka-inspired cocktail, selected to highlight Félix’s curated menu.  Guests can expect the following libations to accompany their meal: Watermelon Sugar – Honeysuckle Vodka with Watermelon and Basil Shrub, Lemon Juice, Simple Syrup, Soda, and Chilled Watermelon Ice Cubes Milky Chance – Bitter Orange Vodka with Clarified Milk Punch, Citrus, Tea, and Simple Syrup Sweet Caroline – Fat Washed Pecan Vodka, Demerara, Benedictine, and Bitters Not Quite an Espresso Martini – Hoodoo, Cold Brew Infused Hoodoo Chicory Liqueur, Cocchi di Torino Vermouth, Averna, and Bitters Raspberry Beret – Raspberry Vodka with Orange Juice, Lemon Juice, Simple Syrup, Green Chartreuse, and Egg White The cost is $65 for the coursed meal and an additional $85 for drink pairings ($150 total). The 45th annual Piccolo Spoleto Outdoor Art Exhibition presents the work of 60 fine art artists in a free open-air venue the entire family can enjoy. Marion Square is transformed into a beautiful open-air fine art market as South Carolina artists exhibit and personally sell their work. Visitors have a unique opportunity to watch daily painting demonstrations and to personally connect with the artists who are on site for the exhibition’s duration.
