Osaka is my favorite city in Japan. With the hustle and bustle of Tokyo and the castles and temples scattered through the city and nearby, Osaka is a destination merely for its sights and sounds alone, it’s primary draw is its vibrant food scene. Osaka truly is the culinary heart of Japan. Takoyaki balls on the street. Okonomiyali right off the griddle. Kobe beef. Sushi. Seafood. The list goes on and on. While Tokyo and nearby Kyoto draw much larger crowds, Osaka does not deserve to be missed.

Not going to lie, I travelled here just to eat! There is nothing quite like the Dotonbori - an area near the canal that is lively at night and packed with hungry visitors!
