probably one of my favorite places, its such a nice place to go if you’re homesick ever because everyone speaks English and its so similar to a big city in the US, go to Oxford street and walk around and walk by the river and go on the London Eye! Also they have Chipotle in London which was amazing.

It is truly the most amazing city in the world. I love seeing people from all over the world live and work together every day. I love the awkward silence on the Tube, the top notch museums (including my favorite in the world, Tate Modern), and the markets all over the city. London will always hold a special place in my heart: it is the first time I lived abroad and truly inspired me to travel the world.

I mean... the set of Harry Potter... (I know, not technically IN London, but so close) as well as great food, great bars and even better off-the-beaten-path book stores.

It might be one of Europe's biggest cities, but London is well-organised for public transport - use the Underground to visit a wealth of historical sites, gorgeous public parks, and some truly outstanding museums.

Although London is home to some interesting weather, it is still particularly beautiful. The London Eye, Big Ben, The Tower of London are just a few of the incredible sights. Not to motion the Football (soccer).

Home to George, London has a lot to offer. The intense history of the city alone and the architecture that surrounds the city itself is remarkable. Known for some iconic places such as the London Eye, Buckingham Palace, Tower Bridge and Hyde Park there is so many epic things to see. Additionally there are some amazing up and coming restaurants our favourites are in Covent Garden!

Another bustling city and an all time favourite with its varied cuisines is London. We recommend: Dishoom, afternoon tea at Savoy, food markets at Borough, Bao, Poppies fish & chips, Wahaca, Gunpowder and dinner by Heston Blumenthal. Culturally rich London has various art installations across the city but try to fit a show at London's West End for a remarkable experience.

I landed at around 8 in the morning, local time, after flying through the night, and I was EXHAUSTED! Part of me didn’t want to sleep because I knew it would be hard for me to want to get up after, but I thought I should at least try to get an hour or two. (One of the hardest parts for flight crews is the shift work and the time changes!) I didn’t end up sleeping and arranged to meet up with my friend. He teaches gliding at Kent Gliding Club and we had talked about going gliding (I had never been!)

Advice: when taking the Tube (Subway), “mind the gap” (you’ll hear it like a million times) o Hostels: SoHostel, wombat's CITY HOSTEL (kinda expensive, but great quality, high standards, and big social aspect) o Attractions: London Tower (and Tower Bridge) - great for pictures, Financial District, Millennium Footbridge, Tate (Modern Art Museum), Globe Theater (a replica of Shakespeare's original Globe Theater), St. Paul’s Cathedral, London Eye (big ferris wheel along the Thames River), Big Ben, Trafalgar Square, Picadilly Circus, Westminster Cathedral, Hyde Park, Royal Albert Hall, Buckingham Palace (try to go during the changing of the guards - big ceremony), St. James Park, Brick Lane, Borough Market, Camden Market, Southbank o Restaurants: Roti and Chai, Dishoom, SUSHISAMBA London, Rosas Thai, Barbecoa, Cereal Killer Cafe (over 120 cereals to choose from!) o Bars: Brick Lane and Shoreditch, Soho (not the names of bars but you can find good ones in these two areas) o Clubs: Fabric (biggest techno/house club in London), XOYO

I went to London with my family, so it was a slightly different budget than if I had gone on my own if you catch my drift. London has some awesome museums like the National Gallery and the natural history museum that we all really liked. Also if you’re a history freak (which I don’t think you are) the Churchill War Rooms were really cool. London is also known for having great shopping ! Things to see: Buckingham Palace- check online to see when the changing of the guards is Big Ben/Parliament Buildings Westminster Abbey- place of the Royal Wedding (and other historical events) London Eye- giant modern ferris wheel, book your tickets online in advance! Also you can get theatre tickets for really cheap and well you know how I love musicals….London is known for the theatre if you’re even remotely interested you should go!
