🦩 NEW CO-OP LOCATION: The Co-Op Frosé and Eatery is expanding to Kiawah and is set to open its third location at the Freshfields Village at 165 Village Green Lane. The island café, that originally opened on Sullivan’s Island in 2012 and has since expanded to Isle of Palms, will now also call Kiawah home, serving their gourmet sandwiches, coffee and famous frosé. The Co-Op Kiawah will officially open its doors on May 1. Just in time for warmer beach weather, patrons can get excited about ordering to-go frosé from The Co-Op Kiawah or dining inside the restaurant. The third location will have an outdoor patio with 24 seats and additional outdoor seating next door. “I could not be more excited to be opening out on Kiawah this spring,” said Jess Patterson,Co-Op owner. “Our family loves vacationing out on Kiawah and now we get to be part of this amazing Village. See you this spring!”

That’s how Charlotte, North Carolina, makeup artist and content creator Lindsey Regan Thorne describes the scene that heralded her family’s September arrival to the South Carolina Sea Island. In partnership with Garden & Gun, the Thornes spent one dreamy weekend inhaling the salt air, shopping, and relaxing with one another.

Kiawah Island extends over 15 kilometers of beach and dunes, which provide important functions. These functions include protection against storms from the highest areas, a habitat for a wide variety of plant and animal species, a meeting and nesting place for sea turtles, and of course, a place with many opportunities to enjoy its waters, beaches and activities.

💕S’CUTE: The second litter of bobcat kittens of the year has been discovered in Kiawah! Biologists microchipped them and this litter included 2 males and 1 female. The Town of Kiawah aims to protect these bobcats as they play a vital role in the ecosystem and pose no threat to humans. For example, they keep the rat and mice population under control 👍
