One of the newer restaurants in the La Jolla area, Herringbone is in a very cool 1930s-era renovated warehouse on Herschel Ave about 2 blocks from Prospect St. It’s easy to get to and has plenty of parking too. If you’ve got a large group of gals looking for a place to chat, ask for the private table upstairs overlooking the bar for some extra special flair! Bottomless mimosas, bloody marys with bacon (yes please!), seafood-paired breakfast entrees, pecan sticky buns to share — this place has it all

Herringbone’s romance comes from the fact that you get to dine in the company of 100-year old olive trees. You could also watch your food being prepared in their open-concept kitchen, so that’s at least two talking points for your date (you know, just in case things aren’t going as smoothly as you want).

talk about trendy restaurant vibes!!! I've gotten the seared tuna, curried cauliflower and couscous, and a dirty chai donut dessert. Phenomenal.
