I did my fair share of sampling Pastel de Natas throughout my 3 days in Porto, and Fabrica de Nata definitely takes the cake! Prepared fresh throughout the day, their warm, flaky pastries are a must during a trip to Porto!

You can’t come to Portugal and not eat a pastel de nata. These custard filled dessert are quite simply heavenly! I think I ate at least a dozen over the 3 days that we were in Lisbon. The best spot to buy them is rumored to be in Belem, however if you are limited on time in Lisbon then this spot is a close second. They were so good that I brought an extra dozen home to New York!

Us twinkies CAN'T get enough of Portugal. FINALLY FEATURED: a Twinkie. When here: try a tasty Pastel de Nata/Pastel de Belém - egg tarty pastry! 😋 #lisbon #portugal #pasteldenata

This quaint café/restaurant (check out the 2nd floor) has the best ham and cheese paninis and one of my favorite places for Pastéis de Nata. You could go to Pastéis de Belém but know there is typically a wait.

If you ever come to Lisbon or Portugal you must try the famous "pasteis de nata/belém", a custard tart. Well there's this debate between portuguese people on which place has the best recipe and for us there's no doubt: "Fábrica da Nata" wins! Plus, they're cheaper than the other famous places and you'll love the traditional decor inside.
