The Athenaeum Hotel & Residences is located in the peaceful and well-heeled surrounds of Mayfair, overlooking Green Park and the spires of Buckingham Palace. London’s best-loved attractions are all a short stroll away including the theatres of the West End, the Royal Academy of Art, and shopping at Harrod’s, Oxford Street and Bond Street. Accommodation ranges from 110 bedrooms, 11 suites, 1 rooftop suite, to 18 residences in Edwardian townhouses adjoining the hotel. In July 2016 the ground and first floor of the hotel will be relaunched to include a new restaurant and bar in partnership with Michelin-star London chefs the Galvin brothers. The interiors are art deco-inspired and the food and service is five-star friendly, and full of British charm. Special features of note include an eight-storey high ‘living wall’ with over 12,000 plants overlooking Piccadilly and a reputation for one of the best afternoon teas in London.
