What a place! The Rocky Mountain National Park is breathtaking. Seriously it is, if you drive far enough you will reach the tundras where the air is so scarce nothing really grows. This is a great place for family vacations or nature enthusiasts. A lot to see here including wildlife, nature centers and incredible hikes.

Only 1-1/2 hours from Denver is Rocky Mountain National Park. Needless to say, what waits at the end of the journey is well worth the drive. Even though a plethora of photographic opportunities can be found from the moment you enter the park, the hidden gems of the site can actually be found up a 9-mile path.

I love so many things about Rocky Mountain National Parks: green forests, vast alpine tundra, and stunning views of rocky mountain peaks. However, my favorites here are the calm and pristine mountain lakes, and especially the trail to Nymph-Dream-Emerald Lakes. Driving along Trail Ridge Road is also a MUST here.

Take the two-hour drive to this famous national park. I love doing a day hike here before heading back to the city 🏔
