A beautiful man-made lake in a residential neighborhood of downtown Charleston. There are nice wide paths around the edge of the lake where people walk, bike or fish. There are also beautiful gardens around the edges that light up with different colors and flowers depending on the season. Sunset is great here.

💪🏼 FITNESS FRIDAY: I am signed up for the Cooper River Bridge Run in September, so I should probably start training 😬 having a goal destination and distance in mind always helps me!

FOR A GOOD TIME: Be a tourist in your own city! Tater and I have a usual walking route in our neighborhood but from time to time I like to switch up the scenery and see what’s going on in a different neighborhood. Highly recommend!

DYK: Over 170 palmetto trees will be cut down then replaced in downtown Charleston due to fire hazards. Residents of Colonial Street were not happy about this initiative and tried to block the trees with their cars and even put up flyers. Dominion Energy has identified these trees that are too close to power lines as part of their 5 year protocol.
