The ruins of Tulum are special because they are right on the sea. The entrance fee is only 70 pesos per person, but the facility is not very large. Be sure to pack your bathing suit, because right in front of the ruins there is a beautiful beach. In addition, I recommend because of the many tourists the ruins during the week and as early as possible in the morning or just before closing to visit. For the visit you do not have to plan more than 1.5 hours.

The juxtaposition of the crumbling ruins against the blue sea is a sight to behold.

The Tulum Mayan Ruins are considered one of the most beautiful Mayan Ruins in all of Mexico, and even in the world. They are also the only Mayan Ruins that are built by the Sea. The ruins are situated on 15 meter cliffs overlooking that beautiful turquoise blue Caribbean sea. Getting to these ruins is super easy if you are staying on the Beach road. You can actually take a cab there for about $5 USD or bike to them. I suggest getting there at 8 AM when they open because it can get pretty crowded. There is a $5 USD entrance fee per person and than you are allowed to freely wander around the grounds.
