Another beautiful pass through farmland and rolling hills. We went on a moody day, bringing out the exceptional rustic colors around us.

This place is growing on me every year. Wanaka is located in the alps of the South Island in New Zealand and became more and more popular the last years. That being said, it's growing a lot on its self. I only come there to ride Cardrona which is a skiresort located 30min by car. If you want to go there for snowboarding or skiing I would recomend going around August-September. But the majority of people go there during the New Zealand summer. If you are interested in modern architecture or like good coffee shops it's a good place to be!

Lake Wanaka is absolutley gorgeous and they have all sorts of fun lake activities, just walk down to the waterfront and you'll be able to find paddle boats/kayaks/boats/etc. to rent!

Wanaka is breath-taking. Great big mountains surrounding crystal blue lakes. Amazing hikes and an indescribable vibe. If you love to camp, this is paradise.

This is a smaller and cosier (and cheaper) version of Queenstown in the South Island of New Zealand. I fell in love with this young and vibrant town right away, with its gorgeous Lake Wanaka overlooking the mountains, a wonderful mix of cool restaurants, shops and cafe, and just a short drive to two ski resorts!
