9/18 The day before Ukraine was invaded in February, The Kyiv City Ballet unknowingly took one of the last flights out of Kyiv. Don’t miss their US premiere tour this fall. The company will be performing a mixed repertoire program ‘Tribute to Peace” that they have choreographed while in France. 3/3 Grammy Award Winning Ranky Tanky will make their return to Davidson College as part of the Smith Artist Series. Native South Carolinians, Ranky Tanky (loosely translated as “Work It!” or “Get Funky!”) bring life to the soulful songs of Gullah culture, fusing them with elements of jazz, gospel, funk, and R&B.
