The Art Institute of Chicago

I spend hours in this museum a few times a year at least! The exhibits cover all tastes and styles, with extensive collections, rotating exhibits and mutliple buildings. It's a bit confusing to navigate, but worth it to find the treasures from modern paintings to the greats like Monet, Picasso and van Gogh.

Ferris, Sloane and Cameron visit the illustrious Art Institute of Chicago in a lovely little montage in Ferris Bueller's Day Off. Check out the pieces they saw: Portrait of Balzac, the Picasso portraits, the America Windows, and, of course, Georges Seurat's Sunday Afternoon on the Island of La Grande Jatte. It's not hard to see why Cameron was entranced by the pointillism of the painting!
