First Friday Gallery Crawl in South End - South End Gallery Crawl is an arts event that takes place the first Friday of every month. Galleries stay open late to host receptions for new exhibits. Many exhibits are timed to open the first Friday of the month. The events often include live music, food, and beer or wine. The events are free to attend.

🌮 NEW RESTAURANT: Charlotte will soon be home to the state’s first Condado Tacos — a build-your-own and specialty tacos chain. The restaurant, known for its dips, tacos and margaritas, will open in South End in May of 2022. The restaurant will feature both indoor and outdoor seating and will offer dine in, to go, delivery and catering services. One of the signature features of Condados Tacos is its use of local artists to create a unique graffiti mural for each location.

I HEART RAIL TRAIL LIGHTS MAR. 4-20th. Walk along the pedestrian-friendly path running parallel to the LYNX Blue Line light rail in Southend to view the work of regional artists. You’ll see many lights and interactive displays that are very family and kid friendly. Grab some ice cream at Jennie’s while you’re there and maybe even take a short ride on the light rail if your kids love trains.
