POWER AND PHONES BACK: Main Library, located at 68 Calhoun Street, is now open and operational. The phone lines and internet access at all other branches, which had also been affected by the power outage at Main, are also operational again.

VIRTUAL JOB FAIR: 10am-3pm. Participants will be able to log in and hear presentations. They will also be able to speak to different employers taking part in the job fair. Examples of employers include: Charleston County Public Library, Charleston County Consolidated 911 Center, Charleston County Emergency Medical Services, and SC Federal Credit Union.

Charleston County Public Library (CCPL) is offering free take-home, mail-in COVID-19 test kits at select library branches during a special giveaway event on Saturday, October 23rd.

Beginning on Monday, January 3rd, several Charleston County Public Library (CCPL) branches will expand their evening and/or weekday operating hours. The following branches will now operate from 9 am to 8 pm, Monday – Thursday, which is one hour longer than their previous schedule: Baxter-Patrick James Island Bees Ferry West Ashley Cynthia Graham Hurd/St. Andrews John’s Island Main Library Otranto Road St. Paul’s Hollywood Wando Mount Pleasant

🥳NO MORE LATE FEES: As of June 1st the library will no longer be charging late fees for books, DVDs, Chromebooks, Hot Spots, and Blu-rays. They felt the late fees deterred people from using library services
