👀HAPPENING TODAY: 100 people are about to embark on a lazy river journey straight out of their wildest dreams. Whirlin’ Waters Adventure Waterpark is bringing the “Queso Lazy River” to life with a special event on Tuesday morning. The vision began with a request from a Lowcountry man who asked the Charleston County Parks & Recreation Commission (CCPRC) if the lazy river at the water park could be transformed into a “a queso cheese lazy river.” While CCPRC initially denied the request while going into great detail to explain the logistical challenges of such a vision, Moe's stepped in to help this become somewhat of a reality. A contest was held, with 100 people being selected from more than 2,000 entries, to take a tortilla chip float down the lazy river on Tuesday morning. The event is happening at 9:30 a.m., with Ragland and CCPRC's Nick Epps (who handled the unique request) in attendance for the cheesy celebration. The pre-selected winners are being given free park entry, the giant chip float and free queso for a year!
