JURASSIC QUEST: A traveling dinosaur exhibit featuring more than 100 “photorealistic dinosaurs” is coming to the CACC from November 26th to 28th.  The exhibit includes: Dinosaur themed rides, Live dinosaur shows, Interactive science and art activities, “Triceratots” soft play area, Bounce houses and inflatable attractions, Photo opportunities, and more! Walk through the Cretaceous, Jurassic, and Triassic periods to see the dinos that ruled on land, and dive into the “Ancient Oceans” exhibit to come face to face with a moving, life-size, 50-foot-long megalodon. Tickets start at $19 at www.jurassicquest.com or on-site and are for a timed arrival window, and advance ticket purchase is strongly encouraged. General admission tickets include access to the dinosaur and marine exhibits, arts and crafts activities, and dinosaur shows. There are rides and activities that require activity tickets available on site for $5 each, or guests can upgrade to the Kids Unlimited Rides ticket (the best value for children ages 2-12). Entry is free for children under age 2.

North Charleston Arts Fest Opening Celebration & Art Reception - It’s Arts Fest time! Celebrate with food, music, and more, set among the hundreds of pieces of artwork on display as part of the Arts Fest’s many competitions and exhibitions. Award winners of the Judged Fine Art and Photography, SC Palmetto Hands Fine Craft, National Outdoor Sculpture, and Tri-County Youth Art and High School Sculpture competitions will be acknowledged at 6:30pm. Funky fusion tunes for the evening provided by The Kleztonians, an instrumental quintet performing a modern twist on Eastern European klezmer music. Be sure to enter the FREE raffle for an original piece by this year’s Poster Design Competition winner, Christopher Dotson. Local artist Rebecca Dew will also offer a live painting demo throughout the evening. Complimentary beer, wine, and heavy hors d’oeuvres will be served.

Gay Bingo – a marquee fundraising event for Palmetto Community Care – will return on April 8th, 2022 at the Charleston Area Convention Center in North Charleston. This year’s theme is “Lipstick and Leather: It’s More than Just a Game,” and costumes are highly encouraged. Charleston’s very own Patti O’Furniture will return as hostess, and bingo winners will be treated to fabulous prize packages valued at hundreds of dollars each.
