Its overwhelming success began with Marchese Mario Incisa della Rocchetta’s ambition to plant Bordeaux varieties in Tuscany in the1940s, and since has accomplished so much, including: •  Sassicaia was the first Super Tuscan, released in 1968 •  Sassicaia was granted its own DOC, Bolgheri Sassicia in 1994 •  ’16 Sassicaia received the elusive 100 POINT scores from two major wine critics
