🧐JOHN C CALHOUN STATUE UPDATE: After being removed from Marion Square in June of 2020, the John C Calhoun statue may be finding a new home in Los Angeles. LAXART is requesting the statue for an exhibit that will be a collection of Civil War monuments. They would pay for all costs associated with transporting the statue with grants and donations.

The Charleston Farmers Market will return to Marion Square to begin its 2022 season on Saturday, March 5th, operating from 8 am to 2 pm. Weekly Saturday markets will continue through Saturday, November 26th – with the exception of March 26th and April 2nd.

KNOW THIS: A peaceful protest to publicly address the investigation into Jamal Sutherland's death is set for 4:00 p.m. today. The permit was approved for the South Carolina Black Activists Coalition yesterday and the City of Charleston put up barricades on the square late last night.

The 45th annual Piccolo Spoleto Outdoor Art Exhibition presents the work of 60 fine art artists in a free open-air venue the entire family can enjoy. Marion Square is transformed into a beautiful open-air fine art market as South Carolina artists exhibit and personally sell their work.
