Lilia is another classic favorite, located in Williamsburg. You'll need to make a reservation a month in advance, but the trick is that once you go, you can make another reservation for the following month in person. Start with the "Cacio e Pepe Fritelle"- these are like arancini filled with cacio e pepe, and are delicious. TThen, get multiple pastas. The malfaldini with pink peppercorn is their most popular dish, and is creamy and simple. The sheeps milk cheese filled agnolotti and rigatoni diavola are also options you should have on your table. Lilia also makes their own soft serve ice cream, and you can top it with a variety of toppings to make for a very satisfying end to the meal.

You wont hear me say this often, but it is worth it to go to Brooklyn to come here. After coming here I understand the hype, it truly has some of the best pastas in NYC. The food is paralleled with Carbone, but atmosphere couldn’t be more different. As it is in Brooklyn, the space is large and very modern, with an open kitchen. This place is great for a date, group dinners or to bring your parents.

Probably Williamsburg’s most talked about restaurant and the pastas are great. But the need to secure a reservation weeks in advance ruins it as a neighborhood stop for me.
