Improv Comedy Show and Book Signing for Greg Tavares’ new book – Daddy Issues: How to Stop Worrying and Love Being a Dad Theatre 99 presents a night of improv comedy and book release celebration as one of the founders of Theatre 99, Greg Tavares, shares his hilarious take on becoming a dad. In his new book, Daddy Issues: How to Stop Worrying and Love Being a Dad, Tavares shares his own blunt and funny experiences of becoming a dad, but he also shares the joy and love that he has found in fatherhood. At the event, Tavares will read from his book, and he will also be joined by some of the other members of Theatre 99 for a night of improv comedy. There will even be an all dad improv group.  Don’t miss this opportunity to see a hilarious show and support a local author.

At the end of Improv Smackdown there is an intermission and the second act is a fast paced long form improv set based on an audience interview!

Over 350 years of Lowcountry history in 60 minutes! Come check out the Morons, an outlandish comedy history lesson funny enough for morons to enjoy. One of the longest running shows in Charleston, this one act comedy is 3 parts hilarious sketch comedy and 1 part actual history. The Charleston City Paper says the Morons “dazzle the audience with their ignorance.” Face coverings are required to be worn by everyone while inside Theatre 99 and must be worn for the entirety of the performance except when guests are actively eating or drinking.
