Chiang Mai is the food heaven in Thailand! Besides having different dishes than the south of Thailand the quality is just very high! If you like vegan food you can find a lot of hidden gems in Chiang Mai! Besides the food, Chiang Mai has a lot of culture and lovely Buddhistic temples and tradition.

Temple city, with more the 300 temples, will keep you busy from the minute you arrive to the minute you leave. You can visit a white temple, gold temple, silver temple and black temple. There are all varieties in Chiang Mai, all more interesting as the next. The coffee culture in Chiang Mai is one of the best ive experienced in the world. Dozens and dozens of award winning artisan coffee shops, within short distances of eachother. A great place to visit for the coffee and culture enthusiast.

Away from the major tourist spots from the south, a trip north to Chiang Mai is worth visiting. Enjoy the local culture and many temples that you can visit. If confident riding a scooter here then you can head 15km out of the main city square and ride up the moutain to Doi Suthep temple

Chiang Mai holds an atmosphere that can't be properly put into words. It would be my recommendation to head there during the annual festivals Loy Krathong in November and Songkran in April. It is also home to the highest peak in the country, Doi Inthanon.

Known as the "hipster" place of Thailand, this city was pretty miraculous. I loved exploring the street markets and the intricate details of the hundreds of temples.

Where we first met, so this city will always hold a special place in our hearts. There are some really great hostels and trendy coffee cafes to explore. Some to good street food and night markets. Chaing Mai is also known for their elephant sanctuarys, but please dont ride!
